This program aims to select students from Latin America and the Caribbean to undertake internships, research, extension activities, or coursework at Brazilian higher education institutions (IES), Federal Institutes, or Research Institutes. We offer 17 positions for master’s and doctoral degrees, distributed among our graduate programs.

Benefits Funded by CAPES

Selected students will receive:

– Monthly stipend

– Travel allowance

– Installation allowance

– Health insurance allowance

Additionally, the Brazilian co-supervisor will receive financial support according to CAPES regulations.

Application in the CAPES System

The foreign candidate must submit applications online, following the detailed guidelines in the call for applications. The application form will be available on the Program Page and must be completed in Portuguese. Candidates need to indicate up to two Graduate Programs (PPGs) offered by Brazilian IES.
