[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In June 2019, students of the Journalism course won the Expocom Prize – Southeast Region – in the Press Advisory category.

Expocom – Exhibition of Experimental Research in Communication, in addition to an exhibition, is an award for the best experimental works produced exclusively by students in the field of Communication. This award is promoted by Intercom – Brazilian Society of Interdisciplinary Communication Studies, the largest representative entity of Communication in the country.

Journalism students won the award for the work developed at Comcorp – Corporate Communication Agency – for the Cria Conexões Institute. Instituto Cria Conexões is an NGO whose purpose is to promote education and income generation opportunities through bicycle culture. Its main target audience is the graduates of the prison system and the Casa Foundation, who suffer from the prejudice and the difficulty of leaving the circle of crime and finding employment opportunities.

At a workshop in the Jabaquara region, the institution offers bicycle mechanics programs for former detainees. The Recomeçar course also offers notions of entrepreneurship and guides to cycling tourism – another job opportunity for professional activity for students.

The NGO became an object of ESPM journalism students’ work, when a communication plan focused on press counseling for the dissemination of their projects called Instituto Cria Conexões: medias and empathy in times of intolerance[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”2233,2234,2235″ img_size=”500×500″ onclick=””][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
